See All ReviewsIf you are looking for a charming and absolutely delicious restaurant, this place is it! Being from the South, it is impossible to find good fish/shrimp and grits in the North (I will absolutely go there) LET ALONE a plate that is Celiac safe. This place does it, though! I looked at my spouse and told him that "This is one of the best things that I have ever eaten". I have also had the Shrimp Basket (with actual breaded and fried shrimp!!!) and will 100000% be getting it again. The owner and staff take great care in knowing how to handle Celiac Disease, and even went as far as letting me know that the mayo in the slaw may be cross-contaminated from the factory. I, and other people with Celiac, appreciate someone loving their guests so much that they call out anything that may hurt them. Are they a completely gluten free restaurant? Nope! So if you're afraid of gluten free, you can still eat here (and I recommend you do!). I have eaten there twice this week, and will undoubtedly be back by the end of the next week. I can't thank Keith, and our server Amber that we had today enough. Thank you guys for rockin' so hard!
The building is unassuming and I wasn’t expecting a lot other than a new experience. I was blown away, and look forward to my next visit. When I ordered my madhatter that was a salmon sandwich, I wrongly assumed it would be a patty/burger situation. It was not. It was a slab of salmon that hung way past the bun. And every topping was better than the next. I love a complex sandwich and this one ticked all the boxes. The owner came to check on our table and we got his back story on the creation of the restaurant and the menu. Instant fan. Thank you for adding this restaurant to Bellefontaine!
My wife and I came for the first time on a Friday afternoon about 4pm. We were greeted promptly and seated. Everyone was very friendly and the food was fantastic. The fish was perfectly breaded and cooked to perfection! Huge portions at reasonable prices I told my wife this is the type of place I expect to come across in a little coastal town on the edge of America not West central Ohio !! A wonderful surprise!! We will be back!!
