3 months agoThe home cooking is awesome. Hard to find places like this. And Carl's biscuits and gravy are over the top! The hospitality towards new patrons great. Laughing and smiles as soon as you walk in! We'll be back!

Edited 4 months agoSummer was delightful on 11/15/25. Loved our breakfast pizza. Adore the owner comes out and speaks directly to every customer. That means a lot! Always a pleasure. Grateful to be alive to experience this event. The cheesecake & carrot cake was divine. Exquisite.

8 months agoAn absolute gem of a diner! We stopped in on our way home from our family's property in South Branch and had one of the best breakfasts I can remember having in years. Great omelettes and breakfast meats, wonderful service, and a delicious slice of coconut cream pie for the road!

8 months agoMy wife and I eat at Sunrise on average once a week and I order takeout very often. Sometimes I even stop and just get cherry cheesecake for a takeout snack. I tip a minimum of 25% even on takeout. I have been a great costumer for Sunrise. Today will be my last. To charge me $1.60 for gravy on my meatloaf was part of the issue but the smug attitude of the woman working the register was what did it for me when I questioned the charge. I even googled if meatloaf should come with gravy to see if I was being unreasonable. The Google answer was yes it should come with gravy. I have had interactions with the guy that says his wife owns the business. He is as nice as they come and so is the waitresses. Unfortunately the woman working the register is not as nice. All costumers should be appreciated and regulars should be treated as such. The establishment should know what that means. My takeout check number was 101 on 8 -17 -25 for reference.

Edited 9 months agoWe have enjoyed every meal served at their cafe. The waitresses are on the ball and food tastes fresh and wholesome. How anyone could give this treasure of a place less than 5 stars is beyond me!

10 months agoAlways great food and incredible desserts (to go too). Everything is clean and well maintained. Carl greets and speaks with everyone. You can also watch the many species of birds at the feeders outside of the window. We love it.

11 months agoI did not stay at the cabins, but did enjoy a fantastic breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe. The atmosphere was definately family friendly. It is a cute country style restaurant where we met the owner and the staff was amazing. They were friendly, fast, and the food was amazing.

a year agoSunrise cabins were perfect for a relaxing weekend. |They are set on a serene little plot.|The cabin included everything you need and nothing that you don’t 🍂🧡|Bonfire pit, horse shoe pit, nice wooden swing.|2 minutes away from rifle river , a beautiful state park .|Rose valley winery tasting is fun ( 5 minute drive ) |Sunrise cafe is delicious too.
