a month agoMy husband is a Portsmouth native and put me on to their subs and now i am looking and blinking at the other sub places around. I don't know what combo of dressing they use but it is sooo delicious! There is never a wait but I order on the phone and it's always ready. The bread is always fresh! The owners are very nice. I order the Italian and my husband order the Philly Steak and he will need a sub from any other place! Stop through! I promise you will not be disappointed.

4 months agoI love this place. This is where I came to eat often as a teenager (I hope this place stays open) sub sandwiches and more COULD NEVR amount to the history this place has

5 months agoStopped by as I was leaving an appointment. Coworker recommended and they weren’t wrong. Got a chicken/cheese and it was sooo good! Planning to go again soon to get another one!

5 months agoBeen going here since I was a kid, they were located across from the library then. Service still great and food still awesome. Try extra meat and extra cheese on your sub.

10 months agoA lot of people rave about this place, but it was just OK to me. Although the service was fairly quick, there are better places for the money. There is no real atmosphere here.

10 months agoI remember when SUB AND PUB, was in front of the library, and use to go their and eat with my daughter. Her and I enjoyed every bite we took of their subs. But, yesterday from all those yrs, if not eating there, yesterday I ordered a steak and cheese with lettuce, mayonnaise and pickles and I didn't take a break, my taste buds was on fire. The excellent sub brought back memories of the past. That sub was so DELICIOUS. I will make it my business to go back again and won't make the mistake in letting another sub shop take my money. 😁💯👍🏾I'm Danielle Taylor from down the street.😁💯👍🏾

4 years agoGone downhill! Just ordered a whole steak and cheese and got bread with a few pieces of steak. Also a half pastrami and cheese with 2 pieces of pastrami. Sad situation, paid $14! Do better this place use to be the best! 😡
