Absolutely amazing is all I can say! While vacationing from NY we found this gem. Every part of the meals were extraordinary. I wish I could pack this place up and bring it back to NY with me. I would make the drive just to eat here again! The service was attentive and impeccable! The decor of the restaurant was cute and quaint.
We are now regulars after finding this gem last June. Best food! Best staff! And honestly worth every penny spent. The owner makes almost everything from scratch and it shows. They also have a HUGE drink menu so you can really enjoy your vacation or in my case the day. Extra information as a regular, Wait times vary depending on summertime crowds. Sunday after church can get very hectic as well. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the place just in case others had the same thoughts. Food is made with love and can take a little. We waited a good 45 minutes on Saturday at the bar due to many large groups in their dining section. Parking around back is plentiful. Stop and get to know the staff. Every waitress we have had is lovely. They recognize my dad since he goes in more often than myself. You GOTTA try the rooster sandwich. It’s a fried chicken breast, egg, cheese sauce and a homemade biscuit. (Pictured below 👇)
Popular spot for Weekend brunch. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good food. You have to sign your name and # ppl on a waiting list as you walk in.
So yummy! I went for Easter lunch with my family and I got one of their Easter specials. It was this Crab Quiche. Oh my god let me tell you it was so savory. It paired well with the fruit cup. Our server was very attentive. I like the place it’s very well decorated and cute. The food can be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. It’s very worth it!
wow, cant wait to come back and try more from the menu. food was excellent and great service. kind of a small restaurant but turned tables fairly quickly and super busy when we were there. did I say great food and service? yes, I did but gonna say it again.
$21 for the worst chicken biscuit I've had in my life. So beyond dry it'll choke you, and completely flavorless. The biscuit was so dry and crumbly (no butter even on it) that it was pointless to try to eat as a sandwich. So instead, I attempted to cut it up, but the chicken was so dry and tough I couldn't even do that, I had to tear it into chunks with my knife and fork. The cook here probably used to work at an expensive nursing home, because even though it was stupidly expensive and looked fancy, there was ZERO seasoning on the chicken. I actually like my chicken well done, but this was dry even after dousing it with hot sauce to try to moisten it up and give it some kind of flavor. With "rooster" literally in their name, you'd think they'd know how to brine and season chicken! I ordered without cheese or egg, but add bacon, you would think since it's $17 and missing 2 parts, they could thrown in the bacon for free, but nope $4 for 2 slices of bacon (hence $21, $17 for biscuit which does come with potatoes, plus $4 bacon). The bacon was thick sliced, but very unremarkable. No smoky, savory or sweetness... just there. I had high hopes at first because the potatoes had onions in them, but nope, the potatoes too were unseasoned and dry. Not a drop of oil or butter, no seasoning. No salt, no pepper, no garlic powder or paprika. They would think turmeric is the name of a guy they don't want dating their daughter. I had to add salt, pepper and hot sauce at the table to choke them down. Of course they use the cheapest/stalest powdered black pepper they could find to fill the pepper shaker. At least some fresh cracked pepper would have give a bit of flavor. (I put the pepper you see on before taking the photo, because I could already see no salt or pepper on them)
The food was delicious I have zero complaints. The bananas foster croissant cinnamon roll was my absolute favorite. I went with friends the weekend to country calling and service was fast, staff was friendly and the food was phenomenal. I live about two hours away but I’ll travel for good food. It’s family friendly as well. The server held my appetizer under the warmer because I didn’t communicate I wanted everything together I have never had anyone offer to that at a restaurant she was so sweet. The food smelled so good we chowed down before taking pictures I will be back for sure.
Our breakfast was good. It lacked flavor, but liked that it was all made from scratch. Their biscuits were very good. Our waitress was very nice and explained and shared her opinions on what people mostly ordered. We were told their cinnamon rolls were their best seller, we were too full to be able to enjoy one.
