See All ReviewsI have visited inside two other times with my children for them to pick out popcorn, I’m gluten free & that’s the reason I stopped in multiple times to ask questions about their food etc, all the encounters I’ve had except today have been great. I love to support local, I will always support local, unfortunately I won’t be supporting this local spot anymore. When I came in I waited at the register, there was a blonde woman working on a crepe, she said hello & I did as well, I gave her a heads up that I was gluten free, I asked whenever she took my order if she could change her gloves, she then looks at me like I’m an idiot, she asked me if I wanted her to change gloves for every topping with the most rude voice, I said no just whenever she took my order, I mentioned how when I had come in previously the other girl who worked there had a family member with celiac, she then started bashing the worker calling her a liar etc, a man came from the back to make my salad, she goes over to him & starts telling what I said, the way she said it though I felt like I was completely wrote off as a person, I let her know it was a serious medical condition & not an allergry, I then asked for the dressing on the side, she said to me if I wanted it in the box or out I said out was fine, then she proceeded to make fun of me for wanting it out of the box, the whole situation was uncomfortable, I left embarrassed & disrespected when all I wanted to do was continue to support local. I feel as if this review doesn’t describe her rudeness & how uncomfortable this situation was for me. I understand having sspecial food restrictions for myself isn’t their responsibility, I don’t expect a place of employment to cater to my needs if they can’t, again that’s why I stopped in two times just to ask questions previously!
You know, great food is one thing, but friendly, welcoming staff puts an experience on a whole other level…this place has it all! We got crepes for breakfast, which were huge, hot and delicious. But of course we couldn’t leave without sampling and bringing home some of their delicious popcorn and taffy. Try the moon madness…our favorite!
First Time Visiter... Quickly popped in with some family during the Queen of Hearts drawing. I didn't order anything but everything looked great so I returned the next day. The visit was great until the end. I ordered $30 worth of food. When I ordered the pizza-type crepe the lady(I assume the owner)asked if I wanted it in a cardboard cone or a styrofoam to-go container. I picked the cardboard cone. The crepe was a lot bigger than expected so I asked for the styrofoam container in addition. She told me I couldn't have it both ways and if I wanted the styrofoam container it would be an extra dollar. WOW !!!... I just spent $30. Unfortunately, that interaction over the 10-CENT container showed her true greed & poor customer service. My first visit was my last !!!
