Not bad. As far as ethnic food goes in Sullivan County, among the best. But still room for improvement. First, the service is AWFUL. One person handling the tables and the takeout orders, meaning that he couldn't leave the register to handle the tables. We sat a very long time waiting for him, and he couldn't come back to bring us even our drinks for a very long time because the takeout business was overwhelming him. Likely because he couldn't leave the counter, he brought our appetizers AT THE SAME TIME as our main courses. They should have been out a lot earlier. The food was flavorful and more authentic than I expected for Liberty, but it's pricey -- lunch sized portions at dinner prices, and they charge extra for rice. Wonder where the money goes, since they aren't paying for staff. Recommended for occasional take-out only -- you probably should call at least 30-40 minutes ahead for your order on a slow night. But it was tasty and enjoyable when it finally did arrive.
We're out of towners and were looking for a good place to eat in the area. Luckily, we came across Sweet Basil Thai in our search! The food was DELICIOUS! I had the pad se ew with chicken and a thai iced tea, and my friend had the massaman curry with tofu and a roselle tea. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the staff was kind and attentive. I definitely recommend!
Great customer service and delicious food! The decorations were also beautiful. If you are in Liberty, NY it's definitely worth trying.
