Corn Tortillas were home made. They were thick and tasty. I ordered the taco plate and got chicharrone, birria and carnitas. They were all juicy and tender. The staff was great and was fast to assist us. Overall it was a very good experience!
I can’t say enough amazing things about this place! From the moment you walk into Taco Shop, you can tell it’s something special. The food is absolutely incredible, everything tastes fresh, authentic, and made with so much care. What really makes this restaurant stand out, though, is the heart behind it. The owners have clearly poured so much passion into creating a welcoming, genuine experience. You can feel the pride they take in their food and in serving the community, and it shows in every detail, from the quality of the ingredients to the friendly, hardworking staff. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people are this consistently amazing. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast tacos or stopping in for lunch, you’re always treated like family. Thank you to the owners for creating such a fantastic spot.
Used to love this taco spot in Southlake, but ever since the new owners took over (despite other replies they’ve made to other reviews saying they’re NOT the new owners, they have both literally told me they are new owners so I don’t know why they’re telling everyone they’re not and it’s just a new management….), it’s gone downhill fast. Before, they actually knew what they were doing. Big trompo, fresh pastor all day. You could pull up at 10:30 AM or even 5 PM and still get legit tacos. That was the whole reason I kept coming back. Now? Completely different story. They don’t even have pastor ready until like 11:30 AM… and even then it’s hit or miss. And when they DO have it, the trompo is tiny compared to what it used to be. No surprise it’s gone by like 3 PM every single day. I’ve shown up around 3 PM SIX different times and they’re already out… even though they don’t close until 7 PM. That’s not “we sold out,” that’s just bad management. I even showed up at 11 AM once thinking I’d beat the rush… nope, still nothing. Like what are y’all doing? On top of that, they changed the flour tortillas (they’re worse now) and raised prices. Honestly sucks because this place used to be one of my go-to spots, but now it’s just frustrating. Won’t be going back.
