Cozy place. Good service. The food didn't have enough flavor for me personally. I had to salt my beans, salt my rice, salt my tacos, and salt my consumè to bring out any flavor. The lamb was tender.
Very nice people that car about what they make, amazing flavor! I recommend the birria tacos, amazing service!
My wife and I tried this place recently, and we both agreed that we have found our new go to Mexican restaurant. This is one of those hole on the wall type restaurants that doesn’t get much hype like big chain restaurants but that the locals love. I don’t know how I have gone so long not stopping here. The food actually seems like it’s more authentic than your average restaurant. Even the salsa is different from others I’ve been to. It has a mix of sweet and hot that tastes amazing. My wife will usually try a restaurant and then want to try something different. She’s a great cook so most restaurants don’t impress her much. This is the first place though where she has said “I’m coming back here again”. Stop in and check it out. You will not regret it.
My fiancé and I were in the middle of a 10 hr roadtrip from TN to TX and said to ourselves “we need some good Mexican food right now”. I found Taco Trip on google maps and we said “let’s do it”. We take our Mexican food seriously - this place did not disappoint. The chips and salsa they gave us as we sat down? Fresh as hell. We each ordered the fajitas - I got the trio platter and he got steak. 10/10. So flavorful. Exactly what we need to fuel for the next half of our roadtrip. The best part? Such decent serving sizes that we took the rest our food to go and had a snack later on. Thanks to this restaurant, we made it home safely. God bless the ladies who run that place. We love you.
At Taco Trip we enjoyed flavorful Mexican cuisine. The chicken sandwich "Torta de Pollo," featured tender chicken in a freshly baked roll, offering a satisfying blend of textures. My wife's chicken tacos were equally delightful, with well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings. The restaurant's casual ambiance and friendly service enhanced our dining experience. Taco Trip is a must-visit for authentic Mexican fare in Texarkana.
My go-to lunch spot. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. I usually grab some street tacos! Their other menu items are fantastic as well. The fajitas are delectable.
The best real Mexican food I've ever had in this part of Texarkana Arkansas or Texarkana Texas being from California it is the closest to what I'm used to I do not like text Max and this place is the bomb the pozole their Menudo their street tacos their carne asada and their drinks are amazing you should definitely go and every now and again they have these amazing cheesecakes that are there delicious worth every penny the family owned and operated business I love the prices I love the familiarity and I give them 10 out of 10
*2nd time* My wife enjoyed the hurrache ____ Got there right before a rush; so good timing. There was one young woman to work the floor, she stayed busy, and was very friendly. We hadn't been here before. The first thing we noticed was how much we enjoyed the salsa and the chips were great and they included little individual cups with beans and cheese, which was an added plus both for the free appetizer but also with the side of beans for the main meal. The main courses were good and guaranteed that we would have to come back. I don't usually like Spanish rice, but I ate all of this portion and enjoyed it. I normally get double beans. I don't know which I'll do next time now. I've never had that concern. :) My wife got the birria brisket tacos and they were very tasty. I've never had enchiladas like I ordered, but that's not a bad thing. I appreciated them and would order them again. We got the mini tacos for my two young kids to split and they were happy. Thanks for the good meal! I can't think of a Mexican restaurant we've had in the area I'd prefer more.
