Delicious fajita tacos and the papa asada. The margaritas are a must have!
What drew me to the place was the atmosphere. The overall concept was really cool, having the trees, the patio lights, the outdoor seating, its all nice. Now lets talk about the food. I ordered some fajita tacos, and even though the meat was okay, they were very oily and it didn't feel like fajita, it felt more like shredded meat. We also ordered a potatoes, and everything was mashed up inside, and again, it didn't feel like a eating fajita. And you get charged $2 extra for the fajita. I also ordered the guacamole and it lacked significant flavor. The michelada was okay, but overall disappointed on the food. The service was normal, but just based on the food I don't think I will be back.
This place has been brought back, and it does not disappoint. I've been by twice since they've re-opened. Sinchronizada: S Tier Tacos Matamoros: So freaking good. The salsas taste really good, authentic, and hit the right spice levels. (I LOVE spicy food) Whatever they did with their michelada mix, they did it so right. Really glad to see this place open back up in such a central part of North McAllen. When I got charged I was so surprised by the ticket. I feel like I ate so much food and it was only like $12 eating alone. I highly recommend this place as an everyday lunch spot, place to hang out with friends, or just a romantic night out enjoying the birds and sunsets that McAllen has to offer.
