a month agoHave eaten in and ordered food to eat at home from Tahini and have had wonderful experiences and wonderful food every time. They are very welcoming and attentive dealing with dietary requirements such as gluten free food for coeliac diners. Wonderful restaurant we will return to again and again.

a month agoWish I could give the service more - we were incredibly impressed with their understanding and flexibility regarding dietary requirements. Something for people living with Coeliac disease, veganism and vegetarianism, and someone who eats meat but no dairy. Food was brilliant too. Would come back to Dundee just to eat here.

2 months agoWe popped in for a late Sunday lunch. Despite not booking and the wee restaurant seemingly full, they found space for us as a group of 5. Lunch is great value as the flavour and quality is superb with huge portions. Will love to go again and try the full meze next time. We had starters and mains for £15 a head. Staff were lovely and thoughtful, really making a great visit.

4 months agoWe had a lovely afternoon meal here at Tahini. Very central location in Dundee. Lovely quirky Arabic decor. We had the hummus, vine leaves and samosas as a starter. All very tasty and i have to say the combination of the slightly spicy samosas and their sweetish spicy dip was amazing! For mains we had chicken shawarma and shish taouk. Both very tasty. We chatted with owner who was super pleasant and one of the staff (very pleasant with long plaits) All in all a wonderful experience, great food, mostly nice staff. Would definitely recommend.

4 months agoSmall restaurant with lovely food and good prices, since the room is quite small it’s quite loud with chatter but it was never negative. All mains were the same price around 16£ each, & the portions of food were great. Paid with card just fine, would recommend setting up a reservation if going with more than 4 people, especially after 4-5 pm, (but we managed fine without it!) Shawarma, or Falafel heavily recommended !!! The owner and staff were lovely

5 months agoI went here with my family this evening and have been a couple of times before as well, each time has always been lovely. The staff are very friendly and the food is delicious, the atmosphere as a whole is stunning. I completely recommend Tahini for a meal out and looking forward to coming back.

5 months agoDelicious food including vegetarian options. Generous portions on the set menu - the plates just kept coming! Helpful friendly staff who advised us on where to get an easy taxi afterwards.

10 months agof I could give more than 5 stars, I would. What an experience! We arrived during the busiest time without a booking, yet the staff were incredibly welcoming and managed to accommodate us with no fuss. We ordered the Chicken Shish, and it was absolutely delicious, it was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, and staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lovely family-friendly vibe and a great ambiance overall.Thank you, Tahini, for a spot-on experience! We’ll definitely be coming back. Next time with a proper booking 😅
