Being the only local spot to eat in town (the other options are Subway and Subpar-Wawa), Take 6 specializes in pizzas and subs. And obviously 6 packs (but only to take home, not to drink there, due to legal laws, hence the explicit verb "take"). Anyways where I went wrong, is that I decided to order a salad. Not just any salad, but a chef's salad. Which has lots of good stuff like ham, and not-so-good-stuff like olives... customizable where you can ask them to take anything out. Salad was not... bad. I believe it achieved its purpose in feeding me for the night, but mostly forgettable except that last bit where all the dressing sunk to the bottom and it just did not taste good anymore. Our waitress was not... bad. She clearly doesn't care to show her pieces of flair, which I suppose is respectable in its own right. Friendliness can be overrated. The rest of the group got a combination of wings and chicken strips and corn dogs. And blue moons. Everything was not... bad. But probably should have just ordered a pizza.
Good homestyle cooking in a true family spot! Walked over from Maple Fest Campground for a late dinner after biking six hours — I was hungry! By the name, I thought I’d be ordering pizza, but they’ve got a surprisingly diverse menu. I went with the blue plate special — meatloaf and mashed potatoes — mmm gravy... WOW. Absolutely amazing comfort food. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and the whole place just felt welcoming. I downed a cold chocolate Yoo-hoo as soon as I got there (perfect choice), while my friends enjoyed a few bottled beers — great selection and service. If you’re anywhere near the trail, this place is a must-stop!
The building is run down a bit and the inside gives 1970s cafeteria. I ordered the Bear Battered Onion rings which were fine but nothing great. I also got the Italian Wedgie. Honestly, not bad. Between the two of us, four pieces were more than enough and it tasted pretty good. They also have decent prices on alcohol. The lady that served us did the bare minimum but was in no way rude.
It was my first time ordering from here. The pizza was pretty darn good and the cheese sticks were awesome. I will be going back there again.
Excellent service, good food, highly recommended stop!
Steak Wedge was very good..N if ya like fish, I recommend the beer batter fish hoagie, fish was longer than the bun..
After a day of hiking and climbing the observation tower at Mt Davis, this restaurant was a welcome site. The food was very good (we had the italian hoagies and fries), served quickly and good and hot. The staff were friendly and welcoming
The server, Faith, was upbeat and super friendly (and my daughter). I loved seeing her in a work environment where she is happy and gets to socialize! She loves people and getting to know a variety of people. The menu is amazing and full of variety! My two younger son's are fairly picky and each of them found something they liked and ate it all! I tried the pizza...yummy! The wings were some of the best I have had in the area! I would definitely go there again any time!
