Small place. (Pictured) Two beautiful pieces of art on one wall. Just tv on the other side. They eventually started playing some music to add to the ambiance. It’s a guessing game no matter how familiar you are with African food- what your food will look like and may include. No description or pictures found anywhere. Some tables were dirty with dried on juice which could easily rub off on a sleeve and stain. This was Monday at noon. Empty place. Service: No greeting. No personality from the young lady at the register who spoke very timidly. She offered me a menu and I awkwardly ordered at the register for our sit down meal. Entree pictured took 44 minutes to come out. Food: Bold flavors. Caramelized onions on the side paired well with rice and beans. Huge portions all around. Order was incorrectly prepped. I never order red meat when eating out. Therefore, I know I didn’t misspeak. I ordered chicken brochette and instead got some sort of red meat. Parking can be difficult. Meter rates are $4.50/hr!
Best food I've had in a very long time! We were driving from Philly to Pittsburgh and stopped by due to the high reviews and the novelty as we never had truly African food before. Everything was awesome. We tried chicken , lamb , plantains, fermented cassava, all delicious.
