They moved to a new location just one block away, by the gas station. Food and service are still great. Still one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants. The menudo and chilaquiles rojos are my favorite dishes but I haven't had a bad dish here, everything is good.
They just re-opened in this new location next to BusyBee. I come here at least 3x a week for the breakfast tacos and aguas frescas. I love the egg w/ machacado and potato/egg/frijol tacos. Corn tortillas are hand made and one of the best I’ve tried in Houston. Highly recommend!
Tastes like home. Everything is homemade. From the tortillas to the aguas. It’s hard to find a Mexican restaurant that truly makes their limonadas. Even the tortillas! Both flour and corn are homemade. Once again, rare to find. The owner, she is so sweet, friendly and attentive! I had the enchiladas verdes and it was sooo tasty. I forgot to take the photo from before I started eating but I literally ate the whole plate, which is something I don’t do normally. You NEED to come here if you’re looking for a place that is truly authentic.
