See All ReviewsSo, if you are looking for an authentic, locally owned Mexican restaurant that has a really laid-back atmosphere and amazing service with wonderful, traditional food, this place is definitely it. The wait staff is genuinely happy to be working here which says a lot about the restaurant. The food was exceptional. I ended up getting the Mexican plate (el plato Mexicano) with corn instead of flour tortillas and it was amazing. My daughter ended up getting a large quesadilla that was done to perfection and her boyfriend got the al pastor, which was exceptionally prepared as well. They have two homemade sauces in squirt bottles that they bring out to the table. One is a habanero pepper sauce and one is an avocado crema sauce. Both are out of this world. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, hands-down.
My daughter threw up the food when my family visited the first time. Whatever was in the food did not agree with her and she immediately threw up. But before that, our food was not up to par, luke warm. Beans tasted like they were not fresh and came out of a can. I had to dilute the migas with the green hot salsaa in a corn tortilla in order to eat it. The potatoes did not taste fresh. I was surprised how fast they came out with the food. I would rather wait for high quality food a bit longer and fresh. My husbands guisada looked like dog food. He said it tasted like it came out of a bag. My son said the eggs tasted bad too. The eggs tasted like they were cooked in old oil grease. Yuck. The coffe was questionable too. It was not good. Needless to say as out-of-towners visiting, we do not recommend anyone wasting their money here. My husband still had to pay for 3 of the 4 dishes and we didnt even take it to go. They should have comped all the meals. The atmosphere was also blah.
Fast and attentive service. Pozole was delicious. The chips were okay . Some where brunt tasting and had old oil taste. Overall good experience. I would most definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
