Girl taking my order was very quiet and I could hardly hear her. While she read my order back to me I heard her say that the Bacon cheeseburger i ordered was just a regular cheeseburger. So I questioned it to confirm she heard me say BACON cheeseburger. She said yes, bacon cheeseburger. Got home with my food to find lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Didn't even want lettuce, tomato or mayo. Doesn't say anywhere that comes on the burgers. I DID want the bacon though and unfortunately didn't make it onto my burger. Between the experience and the price I probably won't be back anytime soon. It wasn't even crowded. If you can't get the order right, I'm not even going to bother. That's literally the easiest part to get. I didn't even special order.
This restaurant has been in Shelby at least 50+years. I remember eating here with my great great grandparents years ago and the food was good then and today it was the exact same great food and friendly service, not to mention the locals you meet while waiting on your order.
Their cheeseburgers used to be the best in town. I ordered one today, October 7, 2025 at 1:40 and they steam the tomato and lettuce. The lettuce were shredded. They usually put whole pieces of lettuce. It looks like eating mush.
