See All ReviewsEither brunch or lunch or dinner el techo well serve you the best I’ve been to the restaurant for all three and I was amazed with every meal I’ve ordered and I advice you to visit then the atmosphere is amazing the staff is very supportive over all the full experiences were amazing.
This past weekend was the second time visiting El Techo. First time was for brunch, our party of four opted for the bottomless mimosas & the buffet. The food was amazing and the staff was even better. Our waiter went out of his way to ensure we understand how everything worked and truly made the experience even better. That’s what made us visit a second time, for dinner. We are sold and will 100% make it a point to drop in every time we are in the DC area. The staff was so attentive and even the owner stopped by our table multiple times throughout the night the make sure we were taken care of throughout our time spent. The mini chimis and carne asada bowls were to DIE for!! The music, live DJ, the atmosphere was 10/10. The selection behind the bar was nicely stocked. I genuinely recommend this establishment to anyone native or visiting the area!! If I would rate 10 stars if possible!
I came here a couple of years ago and the brunch was pretty decent. This time it was horrendous. They offer a buffet now and changed the previous menu. Everything at the buffet looked dry and nothing on the menu was appetizing. So, we opted to do bottomless margs. The bottomless margs were tasty, but flavor options were limited to watermelon, mango and regular. So we rotated between the 3 flavors & they were strong. The decor here is beautiful and the dj played the jams. But to be honest this place was empty. Probably because the menu was severely lacking. My friend ordered the trio (guac, salsa and cheese dip) and it’s was ok. For 3 bottomless drinks, a trio and a round of shots cost $283. They are very overpriced. They add a mandatory 20% gratuity to your total. Our server was amazing. But, the bartender Austin was very interesting and unprofessional to say the least… very rude and unwelcoming. His behavior was not acceptable. Good thing we were pretty much done when we had to interact with him. Just an unpleasant experience with him.
