See All ReviewsDefinitely not the same as the one in Tempe. We love the one over there in Tempe. This one not so much. All the food was warm because it's too hot in there and they have too much out with little customers. Most the staff was fairly unfriendly. Manager comes around asks how you're doing. I let her know that the food was tasting warm and somewhat stale like it's been sitting out too long. She says oh! Sorry about that. Takes off and doesn't look at us for the rest of the time we're there, doesn't say another word to us until we check out.
I was really surprised by how good the food and options were. The atmosphere was more hustle than I like but seems to be more due to the sushi go-round style... which was really fun. We had food passing in front of us constantly from the moment we sat down. The real surprise was how good everything was. We ended up eating till we were stuffed 6-7 plates each. I can't wait to return when we're back in town... the firecracker sushi has me hooked.
My first experience at this type of sushi restaurant, food was very good, I felt like there were lots of options and at a good price. The service was good, our issue was the cleanliness. Everywhere you look, it was dirty. The cart they were clearing off the tables with was absolutely coated in old food, and their garbage can was even worse. It definitely turned you off when you looked at it. I understand being busy and maybe being open for a while, but cleaning should be standard.
