2 weeks agoThis visit was long over due! I stopped in to Terlinguas today and I knew I had to jump on and give a review right away! Shout out to Huber for the wonderful customer service! My drink was even delicious

3 weeks agoWe came here The day of our wedding after the ceremony to eat with family and really enjoyed it. So much that we came back today on memorial Day and again, we were not disappointed. I ordered the texano which is one chicken one beef and one cheese enchilada and my wife ordered the chicken enchiladas with white cheese and green tomatillo sauce. I like how they compliment the garnished mint with our sweet tea. The food was hot and fresh something that you don't really get from a lot of restaurants nowadays they throw it under the burners and it just doesn't taste the same. But not here it came out steaming flavorful and like it just came off the fire. Alejandro was exceptionally graceful and swift work his attentiveness in serving our table. The tea is good but could taste a little better. But I'm real picky on my tea flavors. Regardless we give this a full deserved 5 stars.

3 weeks agoWonderful restaurant. 10/10 The atmosphere, deco, and very clean! The server was very attentive. 10/10 Kind, quick, and helpful with menu details. Food 10/10 Cooked FRESH and plated presentation was amazing.

4 months agoWe had the most beautiful surprise stumbling upon Terlinguas Tex-Mex Garage! The vibe is incredibly inviting, with plenty of parking, flexible indoor and outdoor seating, and a fun garage-style atmosphere that gives it so much character. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re warmly greeted by the hostess. We chose to sit in the outdoor garage area since it was such a beautiful day—there was no way we weren’t going to fully enjoy it! We were promptly welcomed by Alejandro, and let me tell you—he was on point! His recommendations were absolutely superb. We started lunch with the beef fajita queso, and it was love at first bite. It’s been a while since I’ve had queso made that perfectly. It wasn’t watery or overly thick—just creamy, smooth, and balanced in every bite. For drinks, my husband ordered a few mezcales and Dos Equis, while I enjoyed a couple of margaritas. Alejandro started me off with a pomegranate margarita and then surprised me with what I believe was a watermelon-prickly pear margarita. Both were incredibly delicious! For our main entrées, my husband ordered the Pollo Poblano, served with guacamole, Tex-Mex rice, charro beans, and their delicious handmade corn and flour tortillas. The poblano sauce was beautifully balanced and packed with flavor. The fresh, handmade tortillas truly elevated the meal—they were warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chile Relleno with beef and asked to add spinach. It came paired with a delicious tomato sauce, topped with cheese, and served with rice and charro beans. My meal was perfection! The fajita beef was soft, moist, and bursting with flavor—hands down the best fajitas I’ve had at a restaurant in a very, very long time. Paired with those fresh handmade tortillas, it was such an amazing treat for my taste buds. I would absolutely order it again. Since we’ve been celebrating my birthday all week, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We ordered the churros—and they were to die for! Perfectly crispy on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside, with a delicious cream filling. It was the perfect way to end such a special meal. We are already eager to return and try more dishes. Our experience was so fantastic that it will absolutely be worth the hour drive to visit again. I highly recommend giving this place a try—and ask to sit in Alejandro’s section. You will not be disappointed with his service!

4 months agoFantastic Tex Mex place. Fresh food, great taste. My plate was sizzling by the time it was served and stayed hot for a very long time. Alex helped us fabulously with choices as we're vegetarians

4 months agoWe’ve been here many times and everything we’ve tried has been so delicious! One of our favorite things is that they make their own homemade tortillas! We’ve enjoyed the chicken fajitas (including with mushrooms and brochette shrimp), chile relleno, chimichanga, enchiladas, and tortilla soup. They offer two salsas and both are excellent. Consistently great food and the staff is friendly and attentive. This is our go to spot! Highly recommend!

Edited 5 months agoVisited for dinner with close friends who were hosting son's graduation get-together. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews, proximity to home, and as part of a quest to patronize good family-run establishments (as opposed to chains). Terlinguas did not disappoint! Visit was quite memorable with good friends, good food/service, and good fun underpinning it. We were 7 in all, and were seated immediately upon arrival by a friendly hostess. The ubiquitous complimentary chips and salsas arrived promptly - the roasted pepper Salsa could have been spicier, while the Guac/Sour Cream one was par for the course. Asked for and received a Habanero sauce which we mixed with the other Salsas to amp up the spice level. Ordered a side of Guac, which tasted fresh but lacked oomph (low in salt and lime/tartness). Food and drinks too arrived without delay - Jalapeño Margarita and Virgin Pina Colada - huge and delicious; veggie Fajitas and Quesadillas - in deference to our vegetarian hosts. Food was fresh and sizzling (the Fajitas), plentiful, and tasty! Service by Raul and trainee, Antonio, was excellent - friendly and solicitous. Will, the smiling/friendly owner, came by to check on us - a very nice touch! Upon receiving feedback regarding the Salsas and Guac (he explained that they did have spicy Salsa on the menu, but withdrew them based on customer complaint - sad), he brought over a plate of seared Serrano, which complimented the food well. He again came by to chat and bid goodbye as we departed. Prices were reasonable for the quantity/quality on offer. A keeper in our books - plan to return to savor other menu items. Glad to have Terlinguas in our community - hope they get the patronage they deserve.

6 months agoOur server was amazing and so friendly! After having a really disappointing meal at another highly rated Tex-Mex restaurant (chips tasted so rancid and inedible), I needed a make-up meal. This place was a gem! Everything we ordered was great. We will definitely come back!
