Absolutely fire chilaquiles here. They give you a good size serving so you better be hungry when you get there. The cafe de olla is spot on as well, i had about 2 cups in the restaurant and another to go, thats how good it is. Also not pictured here but the gansito pancakes are a must try! They are very well balanced they dont even need any extra syrup! Unless if you have a sweet tooth then maybe a tint bit, but paired with the cafe de olla, it is an unbeatable duo. There was about an hour and a half wait time but we ended up only waiting about one hour in total.
We tried coming for brunch on a Sunday, but the wait was about two hours. We ended up coming back on a Wednesday instead and there was no wait at all. The chilaquiles were really good, lots of flavor and the meat was cooked just right. They actually tasted authentic, like something we’d make at home. The pancakes were also pretty good. The service was friendly and everything came out quickly. I’d definitely come back again, just during the week when there’s not a long line out the door.
Hidden gem in Fort Worth! The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere and service are on point. This place is worth a trip across town. Our kids got the pancakes and had a great time on the patio. The coffee is also really good. New favorite brunch spot.
Long wait time but food is great! go around 1 p less wait time so it seems. Only thing i would recommend is that instead of serving peanuts as an appetizer they shld serve fresh pan dulce and provide actual silverware instead of plastic silverware. overall i enjoyed it great pricing , large portions , and delicious!!! also the music playing was great!! Will have you singing and eating 😊
Great quality food. I ordered the original chilaquiles verde and husband got the birrieria tacos with consomé. Amazing all around. They sell the Mexican clay pottery they serve you on. We loved the Mexican coffee with the cinnamon in it. We will be back! The place was popular
We had the absolute best experience at Tesoro Mexican thanks to our server, Julieta! She was attentive, friendly, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. You can truly tell she loves her job. She gave us great suggestions, checked on us often without being overbearing, and made sure we felt taken care of from start to finish. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such great service, and Julieta made the whole visit special. We will definitely be back because of her!
This place lacks consistency. The first photo shows the love and effort that was placed into the plate put together very hearty. Where as the second photo you can see that they skimped and even looking at the same plate ordered from other reviews it’s clear they lack putting effort into proper portion. Both plates cost 16.99. Both visits are a week apart. I will say that the first visit was pleasant, good food, cafe de olla and amazing customer service when our waitress attended to us. The experience was great that we decided to go again only to be disappointed with the lack of customer service, the plates took longer to come out which is not my concern but rather the lack of customer service and rushing us out of our seats by hovering over our table with the credit card reader. While I was still trying to finish my plate and coffee. Our overall interactions with this waitress was if you don’t ask they won’t provide. Where as our first interaction on our first visit provided us with waters and asked if we wanted additional salsa. Also checking in on us multiple times. The cafe de olla the second time was not the same, the flavor was off and my cup had a chemical smell to it which threw me off but after several sips was able to get past it.
After seeing TikTok videos about this place, we decided to give it a try—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We arrived around 10 AM and experienced a wait time of about an hour and 20 minutes, followed by an additional 20 minutes before being served. However, the wait was well worth it. The food was freshly made and absolutely delicious, from their rich café de olla to their famous chilaquiles. If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican breakfast, I highly recommend Tesoro Mexican Restaurant as your next stop!
