We eat here regularly (typically on Tuesdays for their pork steak special). Absolutely love it. We only do the drive thru, so I don't know about the ambiance. Things we have learned: 100% of the time, the service & sides are SPOT ON. 90% of the time, any of the bbq is spot on (we have had brisket, sausage, pork steak, pork ribs, and turkey). The 10% it isn't, I think it's when their main pit master is off (nights and weekends), and it still is good, but not AS good. Definitely give them a shot if you haven't yet.
The food is good and very well priced however it does lean heavy on the pepper, also I asked for two pounds of baby back ribs and received two ribs. TWO baby back ribs only, I was charged correctly, less than a half a pound, but that was an annoying misunderstanding
Eli was very informative and polite. Better quality than Southside and better value than Meyers. Not that those two are bad, Texas Traditional is just way better. Check for yourself. Williams mother Amy makes the BEST cakes. If you see any buy it, it's worth it. God bless
