New to tasting the food at this location, but had Acadiana a long time ago in San Antonio. The food tastes great, I can't knock the flavors. However, the price points are a little steep for this small town and surrounding small towns. Drop the costs and you will get more people in, and it will be comparable the the portions. Ordered the 2 piece catfish with okra and cabbage $15.00 for lunch. There fish are rather small for that price, the cabbage was amazing in a tomato sauce with okra, and other yummy bits, and the okra is perfectly breaded. The fish was good, but they are not very big. Price point should be $12.50-$13 for lunch, and 14-15 for dinner. I would have been annoyed to pay $16 at dinner for that.
Nice gem or should I say A diamond in the rough needing a little polish. Let me explain. Service, Service Service!! Service needs help. After food came out we might as well been invisible. Had to ask twice for Butter never asked to refill our drink (water) this was disappointing. Food was good and served very hot 🔥. A pinch more seasonings but non the less still good. Chicken Fried Chicken was a great and hearty meal. We arrived at 8:15PM (closes) at 9PM and right away kinda felt unwelcome wasn't acknowledged until we asked to be seated. Order taken was going okay. Food came out hot and quickly not a lot of customers at the time. I guess I felt as if we were a bother to the waiter/host. Food was okay but customer service at the restaurant side not so much. We were done with our meal and out the door at 9:05PM. As I said little disappointed for the service side of the restaurant has been wanting to go since the opened and finally made the time to make it happen. Hopefully it was just an off night. Going to try again soon. The food was way better than the service. Still would recommend trying this cozy spot. If this helps you please give it a like.
Had such a great time at Acadiana Cafe! We went for trivia night and had an absolute blast. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the drinks were amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was full of flavor and came out great. Definitely a fun spot to hang out with friends, enjoy good food, and have a great night out. We’ll definitely be back!
