⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We decided to try Blind Tiger based on the many positive reviews, and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment you walk in, the restaurant gives off a nostalgic, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. We were seated upstairs, which was perfect. If you’re looking for a little more privacy or have a larger group, I highly recommend requesting an upstairs table. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress, Lane, was outstanding. She checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and flavorful. We ordered the Cajun Sampler, which included blackened catfish, fried crawfish, and étouffée, along with a cup of gumbo. We also shared the Mardi Gras corn and fried corn on the cob. Everything was delicious, but the gumbo was truly the star of the meal—hands down one of the best we’ve had! Parking was easy as well. You can choose between garage parking or street parking, and we were able to park our F-450 dually on the street without any issues. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with great food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Blind Tiger to anyone visiting the area.
I didn’t expect quality Cajun food in Shreveport, but that assumption was wrong. The Blind Tiger definitely exceeded my expectations. Both their blackened and breaded catfish were great, and the fries, cole slaw, jambalaya rice, and Cajun corn were good too. Cool environment too, and our wait wasn’t too bad (15m) for a Friday night. Fair warning - the sauce that comes with the blackened catfish is very lemony. Try it before you pour it over anything.
We took advice from others and parked free at Bally’s casino. The restaurant’s crawfish, catfish and shrimp are all imported. This is to keep the prices more reasonable. We were there for lunch and got the popcorn crawfish, French chicken sandwich and voodoo chicken sandwich. Both were tasty and the lunch menu was very reasonably priced.
