2 months agoOh man, they have ads all over the boardwalk for the chocolate strawberry cup. I even saw a few people with them! I walked in and the guy asked which flavor of chocolate and after I picked milk chocolate he said they weren’t making them anymore. It was 920pm so well before closing and the store had quite a few customers in there. Dang it, not happy!

3 months agoI was charged 30 dollars for 1 bag, and when I got home, we noticed they charged me for 23 lbs and ounces. I don't think this is 23lbs of candy.

7 years agoWe have a similar shop back home so I wasn't swayed by the $0.87 per ounce spiel. With 5 kids, I still spent about $50 on candy but it's still good for sampling a few new things. Red hots and soda flavored Jelly Bellies were my favorite. I refuse to try scorpion lollipops. #crazy

7 years ago2 bags of candy cost $70, when I asked for an explanation cashier seemed annoyed and I was informed it was 87 cents an ounce. Price in the store said 1/4 of a bag was 3.50 so I (wrongly) assumed a whole bag would be $12. Obviously I was grossly mistaken....won't be coming back.

8 years agoI don't always go to the Kemah Boardwalk, but when I do, I visit the candy shop! Selection is large. Prices are a bit steep but that's to be expected at any shop like this. Bulk chocolate, bulk sour, bulk hard candy. Candy you've never heard of or haven't had since you were a little kid. It's also a nice place to cool off.

8 years agoThe facility was very nice and finely decorated. I enjoyed the presentation, but the bags and tin filling was a scam. They price it by ounce on the tin with a first time charge. There was no scale for them though. The woman working there was quite rude, but I do understand where she was coming from. I don't feel as though she was terrible. Overall I found it okay, but would not recommend.
