See All ReviewsWorst experience in a restaurant ever. It took an hour and a half to get our food. There didn't seem to be a manager on duty. Our server would disappear only to be found visiting with customers at the bar. It was only later that we realized there were no locals in the restaurant. Heed this warning. Stay far away from Chaparral Grill.
I guess the place was just opening we walked in and it said please seat yourself I'm glad that we didn't know I don't think we would ever got noticed we stood there for about a half an hour until I found a number to call I called it and we finally got somebody up to the front which ended up being our server also she was great very attentive she took care of us. The food The presentation was I wouldn't say the best for the location and what that place is I figured it would have been a little better but the taste was absolutely night and day compared to what it look like. now the location absolutely spectacular sits right amidst a golf course literally on the edge of the cliffs and you literally cannot beat that view you can see the damn it kind of overlooks the loop back you cannot see Hell's gate but it is right around the corner I don't think you have access to it but it's still a stunning location. Entry to the place does require you to get a visitor pass from the security shack at the beginning of the entrance but the guy controlling the guard shack absolutely awesome quick and straight to the point. I'm in the whole drive into there was just absolutely great. And just a heads up at the time of the post they were doing some remodeling so you might run into some noise we didn't but it was early in the morning still. The prices was actually pretty dang good Even being a resort golf course. So if you're in the area definitely swing through and check it out it's well worth it and hopefully by the time someone else comes through there it will have a little better service be a little different from what was going on when we were there
Waitress was great but this places takes so stinking long to get your food. 20 minutes to get our appetizer and another 40 minutes to get our entrees. I have a sneaking suspicion that the “catfish” is actually cod too. If you sit outside, you’ll be bombarded by yellow jackets and bees and if you sit inside, you’ll smell like bacon when you leave. Just be prepared to wait if you come here.
