The food here is amazing! Not only that…. The customer service is spectacular!!! My mom and I visited this restaurant while I was on a work trip. I love going to black owned spots anywhere in the country and always looking to support my people. I found this spot by searching on google and I’m so happy I found it. Bernard was amazing and made our morning perfect. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and we dined in. Bernard suggested a special punch and I loved it. It was too sweet for my mom but it was perfect for me. If you like sweet you’ll love the punch. Bernard took our order and made sure that we were taken care of the entire time. The food was absolutely amazing. The grits here are to die for. They were made prefect. My mom is super picky with food and she even cleaned the plate. Thank you so much Bernard for making our morning amazing with the good food and your good energy. The next time we come to Jacksonville this will be our go to spot. I’m so excited for your location in Atlanta. I can’t wait to come there and eat good too!
Highly Recommend! Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Today was my first time visiting The Cookbook Restaurant. My wife and I were immediately greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome. Our server promptly came over to us and made some excellent suggestions. We accepted their suggestion and were extremely pleased with our meal. Dr. Franklin came over and asked how was our meal and made sure it met and exceeded our expectations. I was completely wowed by both the service from the staff and the quality of the food. They have a gained a new regular customer! Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
OMG! I had the grits with grilled vegetables and perfect toast! Never had it like that before😋😋😋 My husband had the chicken and waffles. Fresh and hot! Soft waffles and juicy, tender, crispy chicken! The owner greeted us and everyone else as soon as they entered the restaurant. I am a Restaurateur so I look at everything! Overall service, cleanliness, food and operations were A+. We’re from Missouri, the Show Me State. When ever we’re in Jacksonville again, we will definitely return!
