See All ReviewsSuper friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, beautiful view of the Ohio River and great food with LARGE portions. Large bar with plenty of seating all over the place. I got the chicken nachos and was very surprised at the size of the massive bowl that was brought to me.
Cool restaurant/bar right on the river front. This place has 3 separate areas: a dark indoor bar area when you first enter, a large middle indoor dining area and then a backside bar indoors that opens up in the summer to a large badl patio area for dining. There's free dock parking for boaters and a sand volleyball court out back too. If you're into gambling, there is a small dark room full of slot machines next to the back bathrooms. I ate here with my husband late afternoon on a Sunday after visiting nearby Meadowcroft Rock Shelter and Historic Village. The enclosed indoor areas were completely empty, although the front indoor bar was still staffed despite no patrons sitting indoors. We were promptly greated upon entering the patio and told to seat ourselves and soon after greeted by our waitress. The service here was pretty good for it being busy, although we would have liked if the waitress checked on us a little more often than she did for drinks refills, bur was okay for the most part. The table was a bit dirty, but was wiped down upon request. Overall, the patio vibe was fun and had nice views of the river. For dinner/late lunch, we shared the sweet potato fries, and then I had the ranch seasoned boneless wings, and my husband ordered the Titanic sub. The fries with the brown sugar dip were pretty good as were my boneless wings. My husband's sub was huge like a full size baguette about 2 feet long, so I'd recommend splitting or ordering the half size for hoagies. He said it was pretty good, and he'd rank it a 3.5/5. He felt it would be a little better without fries on top. For drinks, I ordered a basic mixed drink, and I felt it was pretty good. Overall, this place had fairly good bar food and a fun vibe with fairly good service. If you're in the area on a nice summer day, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out!
I realize they were trying their best with lack of people in the kitchen on this night and will give the place another try. Had the roast beef hoagie. It was nothing fancy and was bland and the onion rings were overcooked but, husband had the cod sandwich which was a huge piece of fish and was good! Atmosphere is awesome being able to sit outside overlooking the river. Service was good and friendly.
