We went to Jack’s Seafood on Friday evening since we saw they opened in Apex. It was located in a strip of stores, not standalone restaurant. It has tables to eat inside and several orders were also to go. I ordered the flounder dinner with Mac and cheese and yams. My friend ordered the catfish, butter beans and corn and cabbage. The fish was cooked to order so was nice and hot brought us our food. The yams were stringy, so they brought me another serving which was good and not stringy. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and would visit again.
I thought the collard greens were a bit on the salty side. The fried fish was not very crisp and lacked a bit of flavor. Oxtails were tasty. Sweet potatoes were good. Would I order again? Probably not. But the service was excellent!
This is the best food in apex and I’ve lived here 24 years!!! The catfish was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The Mac was perfect and VERY cheesy. The greens weren’t seasoned the best but it’s perfect with some hot sauce!!! I’m gonna hit EVERYTHING on the menu lol! You gotta try this place
