See All ReviewsThe only thing better than a locally owned restaurant, is a GOOD locally owned restaurant. Everything I had was great, no notes. My only issue is that it was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected with a new restaurant as good as this one, and I'm positive that this will get sorted out sooner rather than later
1st off let me say that my expectations were not very high. This is food service inside a gas station. 2nd I was wrong, this Husband and Wife duo killed it and need their own store front. The store opened a little late because their help had called in and it was just him and her working. He was very transparent about what was going on as the line grew, and people was okay with it. He opened about 10 minutes late and started taking orders. I had fried ribs, dirty rice and macaroni / shells and cheese. Oh, and since I was first in line and he was running behind, he gave me and Unc a sample of his fish filet. (Chefs Kiss) Everything was great and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend the macaroni / shells and cheese, there is something in that stuff that I can't figure out, but I kept wanting more. God, please bless this husband and wife duo, they are the real deal.
The woman there is really sweet, but that food was no as flavorful as the title. The yams were too sweet, chicken was not successfully cleaned. There were feathers still on the the chicken. Mac n cheese had no flavor at all. The cornbread was diabetes waiting to happen. Sorry I didn't take a picture.
