I recently had a very negative experience at the Green place . I dined there on a Saturday evening. The following day, Sunday, I returned with a friend, only to be told that I was no longer welcome at the restaurant. The reason given was an accusation of stealing a tip jar the previous night, which I did not do. I asked to see proof of this allegation, but the staff was unable to provide any. I was then asked to leave in front of other customers, which I found to be a humiliating experience. Based on this incident, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Ordered on Ubereats: 1. The puff puff was plenty and it was good. 2. The suya was small and mid. 3. The Meatpie is terrible, don’t bother.
Worst service from Emily!! I was given dry beef cubes instead of Suya. She apologizes and says they ran out of suya so just call the number of green place and she will give me suya the next day as replacement. She keeps me waiting for two days, and when the suya is ready she says no I need to pay for it on Uber Eats and starts fighting with me over the phone that nothing is free even though they messed my order up!!! Horrible horrible service, horrible attitude!! I will never eat here again
All parts of my visit exceeded normal expectations. Their plates have enough food that two people can easily share. The place delivers the goods. Employees' warmth makes this place worth visiting. I'm glad I came across this wonderful restaurant.
The only con about this place is that it’s cash only. But the food made up for that. We got the egusi with poundo and rice with buka stew/ayamase. Everything was 10/10. And the portions were huge! Keep in mind that it’s a very tiny space with only 4-5 tables; so not ideal for a big group. But I’ll definitely be back.
I got fufu & the okra soup. There was a lot of beef fat in it. The soup was good not too much spice just enough. The fufu paired really well it. Not much meat in it. Brill be going again to try other dishes
Egusi with Goat Meat, Pounded Yam and Jolloff Rice. Everything was delicious and just enough spice. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you haven't and your looking for some great West African food. Loved it!
My Nigerian boyfriend and I always come here for their egussi and Efo riro. The flavors are simply amazing. We have also tried their jollof but it’s not our favorite as it’s a bit too smoky for us. They also only take cash which is inconvenient. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves flavor in their food.
