a month agoMy husband and I had occasion to be in Coldspring a couple weeks ago at lunch time. We visited The Hop and we're impressed to enjoy a delicious, freshly made burger with fries. Definitely not a fast food burger, but large and juicy freshly cooked. And the fries were so crispy and good. Will definitely return if we're in the area.

3 months agoIt was raining at our campsite so we decided to find a place in town to wait out the storm. The staff was extremely friendly and patient with us and answered all our questions. We all had shakes and burgers with fries, onion rings, & tots, and everything was delicious! I highly recommend!

4 months agoTo the OWNER: thank you for working so hard to keep really good prices and great counter girls. Never been here before but discovered you on the way from lake conroe to shreveport. The service was amazing from both the ladies who served me on a togo order. I didnt catch the names (a young lass and one who has been with you 17 years) but they really made my experience extra special. I was blown away how they helped a senior man with his order, and then ran around the counter to open the door for his way out. Youve got some great people, great food, and great prices. I hope you know we appreciate the efforts to do so! If I ever come back to Texas, I will see you again!

4 months agoFun and friendly, Cheese steak is my favorite with onion rings, milkshake or ice cream cone at the end is a nice touch. Definite small town feel and love that my boys go to school with some of the staff

8 months agoNot what i was expecting from a place taht attracts tourists or good old fashioned cooked food the restraunt is beautiful but the food didnt match up to what i though i was getting from a place like this. Fries are bland even with cheese i prefer them with the gravy it made it taste so much better, kids menu is pricy for the quantity, also again the price is to expensive for the quality to just suck, the food has no flavor and as far as what me and my family ordered, the burgers are good in size for the price mine was alright. It didnt really taste original or anything different from eating fast food. Im not sure what makes it so expensive. It wasnt a hit for me.

a year agoThis is a true 50's feel with food choices from hamburgers to pizza. Onion rings are awesome! Service and atmosphere, along with great food, keep this place hopping! The soft serve ice cream cones are very true to the time era. The food is made fresh to order. This is a very clean, lively environment. There is a drive thru available. Need it to go, not a problem. Call in order's are welcome as well.

Edited 7 months agoGreat local spot to grab a burger and fries... Great shakes too. You can order ahead and pull up to the drive thru for pick up. Room for small groups or couples, or large group as well.

a year agoJust visited The Hop and will continue dining here. Great service, good food (we got the Monday Special with French fries and vanilla milkshake), and very welcoming. Highly recommend if you live or driving through Coldspring!
