Grew up eating here when it actually felt like an Italian joint. Came back after the “rebrand” and it’s like the soul left the building. Decor went from old-school Italian to Hobby Lobby clearance rack. Same 20-minute loop of royalty-free “Italian” music that resets like we’re in a dentist office in Naples. Ordered the Alfredo — got watery milk soup with noodles. That’s not Alfredo. That’s a crime. My buddy’s chicken cacciatore looked like it just got paroled. Dry, bland, depressing. Service was fine. Food? Fuggedaboutit. Felt personally disrespected as an Italian walking out of there. Do better. 🤌
One of my favorite foods is Pizza!! I have had many different pizzas. I thought the New Taste of Italy was good but could be better if they lesson the moisture content in the crust. It was chewy. Souce was very good, good cheese and other toppings. Hoping they continue to do well and stay open for a long time.
Definitely not as "fancy" as the original Taste of Italy. No more white tablecloths and more casual feel BUT the food was delicious, starting with the famous bread sticks. I had the Manicotti special which was fresh and so tasty. My fiancé had the Fettuccini Alfredo and was very happy with it. Would definitely recommend to locals! Did I mention the LARGE pours of wine?! Lol
