I don't miss Brownsville one bit!! The food is excellent!!
There are so many good Mexican restaurants in Harlingen and blanquitas is definitely in the top five. Great breakfast, amazing lunch with the service to match. Only tricky part is finding parking. If you get there a bit too late for breakfast but worth the effort.
So I ordered the one that has chicharon barbacoa and 3 eggs. While I was eating a employee by the name of Lalo was cleaning a table next to me and when I went in to eat beans I encountered a piece of wood or bark or something that I showed him and he was amazed and surprised and embarrassed literally breaking it in pieces in front of him then he took it to the back and never came back out when I check out the lady offers a $1 off my bill and apologizes the approach really I almost choked on a piece of bark or wood and I get a $1 off. Well not managed she really didn’t seem to care she just charged me and expected the next person up to be next
