See All ReviewsThis is a historical restaurant on the Southside of St Louis Missouri. The server Amy was excellent and so was the cashier. Unfortunately the building is old and has not been updated yet. The ladies room is not ADA compliant. The two stalls were about 16 inches wide and nobody with a wheelchair could use it.
Lets start with the good: This is a great little restaurant with some the best breakfast food in Saint Louis. With a wide variety of of breakfast and lunch options its no wonder it was rated the best breakfast restaurant in 2018 The bad: Waiting for seating is a bit of a pain, with little communication from staff on seating status. Getting someone to anwser the phone is like pulling teeth, when someone does finally pick up they are usually a bit short and rude, so to go order are a pain. Lastly the restaurant is completely safe during the day but the area can get a little rough at night.
I love this place. The inside is so homey and cozy, like eating over at someone’s house rather than dining out. Everyone I encountered was very nice and service was polite and efficient (shoutout to Sarah). The food was good, sturdy, line cooked breakfast. I got the corned beef hash and it was nothing fancy from a can but yummy and crispy all the same. The pancakes look like works of art though. They are big and beautiful and filled or topped with a number of exotic choices. Open 7am to 7 pm I’m a breakfast lover, but I will be back to get dinner too.
