3 years agoWent to this place to have lunch on our way back from Dallas. To our surprise the place was closed. What a disappointment. This place is way out in no where land and to travel to find that it was closed was upsetting. Was featured on either the bucket list or Country reporter.

4 years agoAbsolutely worth the stop. If you want to feel like you are just stopping by for an amazing, home cooked meal with the family....this is the place. I had a patty melt...delicious. However, after the smell of my kids pancakes coming to the table.....I also wished I ordered those. One of my children was nice enough to let me have "only one" bite. By far the best pancake I've ever tasted. Breakfast served all day is a major selling point for my kids. They also have a kids menu. Oh....also, best sweet tea. I'm rambling because there really were NO complaints. It is in a gorgeous early 1900s house, which surprisingly, worked very well. We can't wait to go back.

4 years agoRecently went to a wedding shower at the place. Loved the decor and the whole aesthetic. Was very homie and cute. Definitely recommend for small event and for a quick fun coffee run if you live near by.

4 years agoJust recently hosted a wedding shower here and it was a huge hit! Every one loved the small town charm of The Place (pun intended). The food and service is excellent and very accommodating! Candy (the owner) and Amanda worked tirelessly to make sure everything was just how we liked it. Thank you so much guys!!!

4 years agoThis is my favorite place to eat in town. Best food. Friendly people. Best high quality service. This is most defiantly the go to place to eat.

4 years agoDelicious food and very friendly staff. I had the patty melt & also the pimento cheese on a jalapeno sourdough. Both were fantastic!

5 years agoWe came all the way from Tucson AZ and heard about the place, and for good reason. Food is amazing, beautiful house with lots of history. Very cozy and comfortable. Perfect place to stop with great coffee, great food, and even better people!

5 years agoOur favorite soda shop for lunch and I love their coffee at breakfast!! We visit every time we’re in town.
