I live here in Lumberton NC, and have been to the court house for a lot of different reasons and I saw the restaurant but never visited it.well I can say that I have been missing a lot of good food and very nice and friendly staff 😊 all this time.but I will go every time I get a chance for real really good 👍😊.
Always have enjoyed the business with John. He remembers personally how we prefer our food cooked. Its always a pleasure. Breakfast plate less than $10.
I happened to be in Lumberton for an errand, and wanted something different for lunch. The concept of a small restaurant serving baked potatoes with all types of toppings, turning a simple baked potato into a lunch item intrigued me, so I gave it a try. The restaurant is in a small space that "invaded" another space to accommodate more tables. You enter and you can tell that not one tile has been changed in the past 30 years or so, if it breaks, just use duck tape. If you are looking for a no-frills place, eat at your own risk, you found it! Moreover, it is located right across the courthouse, so you will see defendants and prosecutors eating across from each other. They charge for everything, including the ice and the Styrofoam cup, but the waitress doesn't tell you that you can have a cold soda in the can for a lot cheaper. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak-topped baked potato and it tasted like someone had grabbed some road kill off the highway, skinned it, threw it on the flat top, and added some green peppers that had been cooked a week ago. It was so greasy that my stomach got so mad at me and whispered... "I will get you later..." The onion rings as a side were greasy as well. On my way out, I tried using the restroom, but there was no toilet paper... If you are stuck at the courthouse, this might be a quick lunch, but you'll be visiting the facilities while in court.
