2 months agoI take my dad here when he's in town for the Prime Rob nights (Tues & Thursday). TJ nails it everytime. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Seasoned great and was tender. I prefer the regular horseradish, but the creamy version is amazing too. Such a great local place.

11 months agoThat was the best food for a low price that I have had around the New River Valley for a long time. Everything was super fresh and homemade. Not a huge place with tons of seating but that wasn't a big deal at all for me. The waitress was so nice and very helpful. Honestly I can't wait to get back. Btw I ordered the shrimp Po Boy with fries and a garden side salad with ranch. That salad was hands down the best salad I have had other than making one at home. All the ingredients were super fresh and not one single piece of lettuce had any brown on it plus for a side salad it was a very big portion. The sandwich was absolutely wonderful and all of that for only $15 dollars. They do pizzas in a brick oven and when I went in I didn't want a pizza at all but when the people beside me got their pizza I honestly had order envy because it looked amazing. I don't write a lot of reviews and usually the only time I do is when it was just amazing and other people need to know about it. I really wanted a prime rib when I went there but they only do it on certain days, so if you are wanting it as well call and see if they are doing it that night. Thank you TJ's I can't wait to come back.

11 months agoWent on a Thursday and got the Prime Rib special. Very big portion for $34 and it was very good. Just wish the service was a little better and faster.

a year agoMy husband and another couple dine for the first time last week. We got the prime rib it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The best prime rib ever. Very large serving. Salad was very fresh. The following week we all came back and ate spaghetti and calzone. This was very good as well. The owner/ cook came and spoke with us. He was genuine and very nice. The waitress was pleasant and on her game! Thank you for wonderful service! We will be back!

2 years agoCute little locally owned restaurant. Just down from the state park and right off the water. Everyone was friendly. Service was quick. For came out HOT, and everything tasted great. We got a cheeseburger ( not homestyle. 😞 ) but my son said it was still good. We also got chicken strips and fries. I got the chicken strips with the baby bakes ( deep-fried whole golden mini taters) they were great!!! My husband got the meatball sub and the Buffalo fries ( seasoned chip shaped fries) they were also good. The ranch and honey mustard were great. We will be back. They also have nightly specials that sound good.

3 years agoReally great food. It seems that the locals know about this place and love it. For others, the front of the building may cause people to reconsider. It's not bad at all. It's just kind of plain. We had the Thursday night prime rib and loved it. Wow! Really some of the best I've ever had. Really clean and nice inside. Waitstaff are very wonderful. Friendly. Highly recommend this place.

4 years agoI’m gluten free so they wrapped the burger for me in lettuce. It was so good and I especially love the fries. We will definitely be back here again! Friendly service & super tasty food. Our favorite thing about this place is they serve our favorite Homestead Creamery Ice cream, only the best!!!!

4 years agoWe loved it! We stopped off for the night and the hotel clerk told us about TJs. I am so glad we went! Friendly service, great food choices and excellent value! We will make sure to come back when we travel through.
