I've been to several hibachi restaurants across the country and this is the only one I've experienced that charges extra for rice with your meal (and your very small salad). They also cook the parts of your meal extremely separate from each other with odd wait times between your portions being served. The scallops and filet are amazing. The rice and salad are extremely overpriced for what you're served.
The worsted restart experience I’ve had I years we were a large party 13 and were seated when the waitress came to take the drink order there was one in our party that had not arrived. They made us get up a move back to the lobby and wait until she arrived. We were then reseated and after drinks salads and soup waited 40min for the chef to come out to our table not a great start for a birthday celebration. If I had not been with family I would not have stayed when they made us get up grime being seated. I will ever recommend this place or return worst service I have ever received at any restaurant
We came here to celebrate someone’s promotion and brought our one year old. We use a clip-on tray table so she can feed herself and not throw her plate on the floor. We were told that we couldn’t use it for “insurance purposes”, yet it’s the equivalent of an adult eating off of a plastic plate at the same distance from the flame. Take into account that you’re also using a plastic cup near flames as well. Their high chairs don’t reach the table for our kid to be level with the food, and we were going to have to spoon feed her. We decided to leave. Wouldn’t recommend bringing kids unless they can sit at an adult table and use utensils. Really disappointed.
The worst Hibachi we have ever been to. The food was ok but they dont have sushi or yum yum sauce and they charge separately for everything. The Hibachi combos are $25 and up then rice is $5+ and salad another $5+. Then portion sizes are very small. We will never be back. Three people in our party ordered steak and chicken combos and they only brought out and cooked one (1) chicken breast for all three to share. Also the cook and waiter was informed one of our party had a shell fish allergy and needed her food kept separately from the any shrimp, turns out they didnt and shortly after on the way home she had an attack!
My experience was awful. This was for my 13 year old's Birthday dinner. The cook was nice but he under cooked my scallops, he did offer to cook them longer after seeing I was looking at them. The waitress was rude and short with us. We've never been there and she seemed very bothered we didn't understand what came with the meals. The portions were SUPER small for a hibachi. 4 small scallops only got a few pieces of chicken. I was still hungry and ready for dinner after this. I was told noodles and a soup OR salad came with every meal. I opted for noodles (the rice pictured was leftovers from the other orders) thank goodness I got a little rice because I was skipped and didn't get noodles at all. The waitress didn't ask my kids if they wanted a soup or salad so we had to ask and her response was "hang on I have to take a drink order at this other table" then we watched her go in and out for over 20 minutes while my kids just waited for their soup, after reminding her. By that time the cook came out. She was also holding a pan with raw meat to bring to our cook, wiped her hand on her pants then went around touching our drink glasses to refill them. The whole experience was a no. This place made me sick to my stomach. Not a very good hibachi. $149 later, I definitely would not recommend. They also don't have sushi there
I expected a wait, but didn't expect that long of a wait. We were seated within 40 mins but had to wait another 50 before the cook showed up to cook our food. Which may have been worth it had the food been amazing, but most of it was too salty for us. We all enjoyed the veggies the most, but the noodles were way too salty. Kids were disappointed that they didn't have miso soup! The cook did not disappoint in his entertainment. The kids were wowed by him.
Everytime I travel through Paducah, I love to stop at Tokyo Hibachi! Not only is the food delicious, but the employees do an amazing job! We never had to ask for anything, they were on point! We had a large group of 11 people and they treated us great! The food is so good you can hardly wait to come back for more!
My son requested Tokyo Hibatchi for his 13th birthday dinner. We took a party of 7 and arrived at 6:00pm. I thought that would be a great time to get there and beat the crowd.....boy was I wrong. The place was packed! They wait to seat you until your entire party has arrived which is understandable. We were seated as quickly as possible. They only had three cooks on this night, but I didn't feel like we had to wait very long for one. The waitress got our drink order quickly and I acknowledged my son as being the birthday boy. We were quickly served our drinks, salads and soups. Devon was our cook and he did an amazing job! He was kind and funny. His food tasted wonderful. He served the birthday boy first when able. He also have him the extra veggies that were his favorite. They bring out a gong to get everyone's attention to sing Happy Birthday. They give the birthday person an ice cream sundae. I am always satisfied with our service and food. We feel it is well worth the price! Ask for Devon as your cook you will not be disappointed. He has been cooking here for 5 years.
