I went to Tokyo Japanese Cafe on a Tuesday night, it was a nice place. It has a lot of room, for groups, or a romantic dinner for two, a family of four could also have a nice time here, if you wanted to come by and celebrate a family event, this place has the space. The atmosphere is nice and quant. The decor is a bit dated, but it is still a nice place for the outing that you might have. The menu is extensive, and has many choices and many price points to eat at. The food is cooked fresh, and there is a Hibachi Grill in the rear of the restaurant. I had the Beef and Scallops, with onions and zucchini, and soup upon my visit. The beef and scallops were served hot, the rice was served hot but there were some spots there were not so much. The soup was a bit salty for my taste, but you might like it, just the way it is, but again, it was good. However, I did enjoy my meal and dining experience very much, and I even got a Gift Card for some friends of mine. They have great sweet tea also if you like tea!! I think it is a hidden gem in town. Now a good meal will cost about 8 to 15 dollars, for single entree meals. Now if you like two entrees 15 to 30 and generous portions. So check out the menu. I did notice that they have ALOT of to-go and door dash orders...so something is for sure going good. However, if you want a nice place to take a date on date night....(doesn't have to be Friday), this is a good place to get a good meal, that is not deep fried or has a lot of dough ( you read between the lines). I found this place, because I intended to go to two others. One the parking lot was crowed and the other closed at 8pm. However, I would do it again, and was not disappointed. So go give them a try. So if your traveling like I was, make a stop.
This place has went so far downhill. They’ve always had a history of charging whatever they want. If you order online they don’t even see it and you still have to wait OVER AN HOUR to get your food because they don’t want to pay a reasonable wage or have enough workers to keep up with the pace. People don’t have over an hour of their evenings to wait for what is supposed to take 20-30 mins! Not only are they ripping us off on our money, but our time too. This happens consistently now and it hurts to say that we will not be back. At least not for a long time.
every other time (literally) they mess up my call in. and if the mouthy guy is there he will look right at your order and tell u its not ready. VERY VERY disappointed with this place. service has went down hill BAD!!!
