I ordered 2 spicy shrimp and Rice with vegetables, 1 sweet and sour shrimp with rice and vegetables and a California roll. Basically everything sucked! Rice was sticky! Their idea of spicy shrimp and rice was 1 4 oz cup of sauce not even spicy when I asked for the spiciest sauce available and sweet and sour for the other packets of soy sauce sauce and packets of honey for the sweet! Most disgusting meals I have ever had for $55.00! Sticky rice and sauce packets are not a genuine Japanese meal! Never going back again! When I want Japanese I want REAL JAPANESE food! Not the slop I was fed last night! Step it up Tokyo! I have no idea how you have stayed open all these years other than people having no idea how REAL Japanese is suppose to test!!!!
I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago with a group of four, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, our waiter seemed unhappy and irritated, which immediately affected the atmosphere. We were seated quickly, but it took quite a while for our drinks to arrive and for someone to take our order. We ordered five sushi rolls to share, but the timing of the food service was extremely poor. The first four rolls came out one at a time, spaced at least 10 minutes apart. By the time the last person received food, the first two people at the table had already finished eating. It made sharing the meal awkward and frustrating. To make matters worse, after the first four rolls were finished, the waiter asked if that was everything — only then did we realize he had never even put in the order for the fifth roll. We ended up waiting even longer for the final item to arrive. Overall, the service felt disorganized, the atmosphere was lacking, and the staff seemed uninterested in providing a good dining experience. If you’re looking for good sushi and attentive service, there are definitely better options in the area.
First, I wanted to try this restaurant in celebration of a special personal event. I'm really not sure what changed so much between the other reviews and us trying this place, but our food looked nothing nearly as nice as the other review photos. I was sure that my roll was made incorrectly and now seeing another photo of Merry Christmas roll, I know it was made incorrectly. Mine had only orange masago and the red roe, it didn't look like Christmas at all... and one set of the rolls were the two caviar mixed. I eat a lot of sushi and can make many rolls myself at home... so seeing 4 caviar on the menu and what was served to me really stood out, as well as being heavy on rice vinegar. When we go to a sushi restaurant, we don't expect to get the end pieces on our roll ... It does not look nice and it was very strange to pay full menu price for something so unpresentable. However, the WORST part is that I went with my teenage son and the waiter seemed to think we were on a date. When we were seated, the waiter asked if the bill was separate or together... I said together. I ordered tamago for both of us along with what we ordered for meals. I know I look young but I feel insulted that they still tried to hand my son the bill and looked oddly at me when I took it. I should not need to clarify for anyone that I'm the Mom and my son is not old enough to work yet, that we are not on a date, or anything of the sort. The disposition was inappropriate. I paid the bill and still tipped but we won't be back. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
