See All ReviewsThis is such a cool spot. The attention to detail is extraordinary. The cocktails are stiff, the service is very friendly. I had the street tacos and they were the best I’ve had outside of Austin. It took us a minute to figure out how to get inside, a bit odd but maybe because it was a slow afternoon, or everyone but me has already discovered the path..so glad we figured it out! Two of my grandchildren were with me, they got the Mac and cheese (it was fine) but be warned, it has bell peppers and my two pickey eaters were APPALLED. But it comes with a side of fries that got an APlus all around. The bill was what passes for very reasonable these days. The three of us ate for under 40$. We just missed lunch so ordered off the dinner menu. The menu is a lot! An amazing assortment of Tex-mex and American.
This is the second time I've been to Torque. The restaurant is family owned and I love that. I enjoy supporting local family businesses. Food: The head chef is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and it shows. Food is the passion and the food is amazing. I have already tried several of their dishes, but tonight we had the Rice Burner "tacos" and the Lift Kit nachos (both pictured). The Rice Burner was delicious with an amazing teriyaki sauce and the wonton shell was near perfect. The side of Elote was flavorful and really could be a meal on it's own. The Nachos was large in size and can feed two people with a great balance of chip to toppings, all of which were delicious. If you like chips and salsa (which I do), the regular salsa is superbly flavored and if you like a real kick, try the Habanero sauce (liquid fire but with flavor!). Drinks are good and the margaritas are made with fresh squeezed lime. We tried the Mango, Paloma (super yummy), and the Antifreeze (house margarita), all are pictured. Their steaks (not pictured) are perfect mediums and the Carnitas (not pictured) both of which melt in your mouth. I will be back more often to work through the menu because the workers are nice and friendly, the business is local, and the food is good. 5/5.
They have a really awesome 2 building set up that allows for them to have private party events and still serve the general public. We went on a Friday night when they had live entertainment from a local musician which was really cool. All of the staff members were extremely kind. They also have a cool online ordering system that allows you to order your food and pay from your phone. The food was great! Disc Brake Birria Pizza was delicious!
