2 months agoExcellent service! The owner came out and sat and talked with us. He also helped serve the people. The wait staff were excellent….patient and complimentary. The atmosphere was good. I love the cozy feel. I had the whole catfish fried with homemade fries and salad it was perfect! The honey bun cake….ooh you have to try it! I will definitely be back!

3 months agoThis is a hidden gem! We haven't been fed or served this well in a long time. Excellent spot and really great soul food if you find yourself in Midland! We had the fried pork chops, fried shrimp, greens, cabbage and grilled cheese with fries for the littles. Generous portions and they certainly don't want you leaving hungry. As a former server in a very nice place I really appreciate the fantastic service and the delicious food!

3 months agoWhole staff friendly as it gets. Best service you ever gonna get in Midland. Southern hospitality at its finest I couldn't find anything to complain about even if I tried. Everything fresh and made to order. First time trying WILL BE BACKKK!!!! 😍😍🤩🤩🤩 #ILoveTubby's.. Oh and you GOT to get the red Kool-aid 😋

4 months agoEverything was great first time trying with my coworker got their on a Sunday meatloaf was extremely flavorful along with my yams and greens we will definitely be back for more menu items

5 months agoTubby's is a GREAT find to eat at. The food is hot and fresh and not salty like other places. I got the Catfish plate and the Shrimp plate. Both were amazing.

8 months agoOne of the best restaurants in Midland! If you want delicious home cooking, this is the spot. The fried fish, fried rice, all the sides are *chef’s kiss*. Their signature drink TiarAid (Lemonade & Koolaid) is good too. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Edited 8 months agoFood is really well prepared and seasoned. The CFS was crisp and tender. Sides were tasty. Service -less than desired. I arrived and ordered and sat next to the counter. Two different customers come and ordered large to go orders after me. And their orders were both complete before I was served. And these were large orders. One 16 plates and the other 10! Maybe it’s because this restaurant started out as a food truck and they give preferential service to to-go orders. Idk. Not worth waiting for. Won’t be going back.

10 months agoFood was great! The koolaid lemonade was delicious. The ladies were very sweet with awesome service. Forgot to take pictures before we started to dig in. Desserts were also really tasty!
