See All ReviewsI recently had the tchep fish at Unique African Unique and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and cooked with so much flavor. The rice was rich, well balanced, and tasted authentic homemade African cuisine. You can really tell that care and passion go into the food here. The portions were generous, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the customer service was great as well. If you’re looking for authentic African food in Houston, I definitely recommend trying the tchep fish at this place. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
I was really hoping it was going to exceed my expectations with me being Ivorian and their dishes are based off from Ivory Coast. That was far from it, the food was tasteless, smell fresh no seasoning, the atieke was not fully prepared and the fish smelled so fresh I was very disappointed, that should have been the best dish but it wasn’t. The place needs some upgrade, the atmosphere not great.
Terrible place I have ever eaten at. My first and my last time. Food was so tasteless I couldn’t even complete my meal after two spoon of it. I had to ask for to go, so I can re-cook. I spent $63 and I was planning on spending more just for the experience, but the experience was too terrible. Tasteless food, freshness from the goat, grilled lamb, and also grilled fish. He was asking for me to pay via Zelle because their card reader was not working. My goodness I had to go to another restaurant called Marie to get better food.
