See All ReviewsWe stopped in Kalkaska on our way home and stopped at the Up North Grill for a late lunch. There were only a few customers at the bar, we sat at a table nearby. Our waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our needs. We ordered a couple appetizers. The "Mile High" nachos were any but that. They were maybe 2 chips high. For cheese they used the liquid type. Not our favorite. Our other tizer was the wonton. They were good. Will we return? Not until we try all the our restaurants in the area.
Great little bar in Kalkaska! Fantastic food and service!! Seafood stuffed mushrooms! Amazing! The French dip!!! Yea!!! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
Food was good. I had a fork replaced because it had food on it and it was dirty. Cups smelled like dish rags and I didn't like the water taste. The "soda" they had was backwoods Michigan owned and it's REALLY subpar. It's the only brand they carry and i didn't like it. Food was good, I ordered a BBQ bacon burger and fries. Loved the fries. Homemade buttered bun on the burger. Very yummy. My ma ordered a Ruben something and our friend got a blackened burger. The food was well served and plenty hot. (Photos show the food we ordered) the two entrees I had I didn't take a picture of because I was busy eating it. They were an order of fried mushrooms(very hot and mushroomy) and the cheese wontons(wish they had just a little more cheese) The price for 2 entrees and 3 orders and 2 sodas put the price at 69.71 cents or so. Don't know if it's good price wise. Given it's out of season prices during covid. Service at the bar was snippy but our waitress was very warm and homley. I do not remember her name sadly.
