When I tell you this food was bussing bussing it's an understatement From the fatty goat to the deep none dry flavor It was fatty, flavorful, thick, the macaroni salad complimented the rice and goat to the tune of unimaginable flavorality. I'm from New York and I always had amazing Jamaican food up there by gunhill road but when I tell you this spot transported me to a off the road family establishment in montegobay Imagine you had to drive tree miles of d road to find a little old lady that been cooking for 45 years , this little spot in Kendall teleported me back there Imagine the food being so good you feel disrespected , like somebody violated you that's how good it was. It was so good I left that establishment with a vengeance to leave a review. That was the only thing on my mind to pay something back somehow. That food was so good I had to make several paragraphs to compensate for the lack of balance. The staff is so relaxed Jamaican style , slower pace people you might confuse that with lack of service but Jamaican people from the island are slow and chill for the better, that's their beauty. 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was my second visit to the restaurant, and I was curious to see if my experience would improve. During my first visit, I found the service lacking; it wasn’t as inviting or friendly as I had hoped. However, the food was quite good—I ordered oxtails and rice, which were flavorful and satisfying. Determined to give the place another chance, I returned and was pleased to find that the service had significantly improved. The waitress greeted me with a warm smile and engaged in friendly conversation, making me feel more welcome this time. She was not only helpful but also knowledgeable, recommending several other Jamaican bakeries and restaurants in the area that I might enjoy exploring. If you're looking for tasty Jamaican food on the go, this restaurant is a solid option that can meet your cravings.
The food here is so good. I ordered the oxtail meal and it comes with this delicious potato salad the oxtail and the gravy and the rice is so nice and good. The customer service there is absolutely wonderful. I mean they are Jamaican so it may sound like they have a attitude, but they don’t that’s just how they talk but I absolutely love it. This is my first time coming to this place and honestly I will come back. It’s honestly affordable and one plate can honestly feed 2 to 3 people.
