so yummy! tucked away next to Hyde Park you will find this stuffy labyrinth-like mall with electronic stores and small cafés. if you come here you are guaranteed authentic food that is delicious. i have to say though, it’s not the coziest place and it was cold but it’s a fun atmosphere i dont mind:). the price overall was a bit expensive IMO since the portions were quite small. but it is quite rare to find good uzbek food in central London so i guess you’re paying for the exclusivity… we tried the mastava with sour cream as a starter. the broth was so rich and buttery, a good amount of dill. the little meat pieces we’re super flavourful, and it had a good amount of veggies and rice. however i wish there was more salt! the plov was so nostalgic, absolute 10/10 but a quite small portion. still i wouldn’t change anything about the flavour, maybe the rice could’ve been a bit more fragrant and fluffy. a couple more berries and pepper too but its ok i loved it and with the caraway seeds it was delectable. our favourite was the manti, they’re so juicy and soupy and the meat is really tender. the sour cream is a must with it!!! such a nice pairing. they also came steaming and fresh <3 the somsa were nice, i wish the filling was a bit more generous and the house sauce could’ve been more exciting, i think it was just like grated tomato lol. yummy though! service was super nice, a tiny bit slow (they served one dish at a time instead of all at once but that’s just a preference of mine so i dont mind :)). of course this isnt comparable to what you would get in eastern europe and central asia but if you can’t go and you’re feeling homesick, I would recommend this. Or if you’ve never had Uzbek food!

This is such a cute little spot, very tucked away inside the Bayswater shopping centre. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and the customer service was really good. The food didn’t take too long to arrive, which was a plus. They also serve tea in different flavours, and it was genuinely unique. I’ve had tea in many places, but this one was very different, which I really liked. That said, the menu is quite meat-heavy. My friend, who is vegetarian, struggled to find enough options, so we ended up ordering something small and leaving. I also don’t eat beef or pork, which limited my choices. I think pure vegetarians or those with dietary restrictions might find it difficult here. However, if you do eat meat, there are plenty of dishes to choose from.

Oh my goodness — I can’t begin to explain how fantastic and authentic the food is! I craved my family’s home cooked Uzbek food and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was like my Babushka was in the kitchen cooking. I almost cried from happiness — the service and food is FANTASTIC.
