See All ReviewsWe stopped by Van Brocklin’s Bistro in Georgetown, Texas to catch Rob & The Renegades, and honestly—it’s one of those hidden little gems you almost don’t expect. The place wasn’t packed, which made it even better—super relaxed, laid-back vibe where you can actually enjoy your night without chaos. They offer both on-menu and off-menu options, plus a solid selection of drinks and beer. We shared a charcuterie board that hit the spot, and JT had a margarita he was very happy with (and trust me, he doesn’t fake that 😄). Our friends ordered the ribs and wouldn’t stop talking about how good they were. All around, great food, chill atmosphere, and a really enjoyable night. Definitely a spot we’d come back to.
Atmosphere: Good: Live music, a little loud but nice. People dancing around close-ish to the stage. Interior design is very nice. There's a pool/game room for people 21+. The men's bathroom was absolutely amazing. Bad: There were quite a few flies, Even though we sat as far away from the stage as we could the music was still so loud we could barely hear eachother. Service: Waiter checked semi-frequently, forgot a few things the first time our food was brought out but otherwise was good. Drinks fell empty quite a few times. Food: They have a pretty decent selection, everything came out hot, the steak was very juicy and cooked just right, my pasta was just okay, could use more of the sauce that came on it, the grilled chicken was very dry and seriously lacking in flavor but the skin was crispy-ish. The baked brie was great but the mango chutney was overly sweet and after eating the cooked brie on the outside, the uncooked brie that was still inside of the husk wasn't as flavorful, whatever seasoning they put onto the outside cheese obviously wasn't evenly spread or put in abundance. Unsure if the prices were reasonable, some of the food came out very very good and some of it came out just meh.
The food was really good and the ambiance with whe live music and then good music after that was good. However the service was the next level. We had such a great dinner!
