2 years agoI'm from out of town and this was the home feeling experience I needed. Down to earth and overly nice family and went above beyond to meet my needs. I had several items so I could really get a taste of everything. My favorite was the no turkey and it needed no help. I did have the cheese sauce that just made it an 11 out of 10. The Philly was already very good but the surprise was the mac n cheese. I would recommend getting the Mac n cheese with BBQ jackfruit. So if you're in the area and are Vegan, you won't be disappointed with a visit here.

2 years agoThis place is awesome!!! The cheesesteak was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Buffalo chicken wrap was outstanding. We also devoured the Mac and cheese and a smoothie. They know how to do it!!!!! Y’all get you some of that!

2 years agoI went here for the first time today and I couldn’t of had a better experience 😇First off, customer service was amazing!! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is super cute and inviting! (Spacious, clean, kid friendly, free parking, free wifi, etc) And the FOOD?!!! Y’all. I haven’t had vegan food *this* good in a minute. I loved how diverse the menu was. The bbq jackfruit mac is next level!! The pricing is beyond reasonable as is, but then you add in that it’s all vegan AND there’s such generous serving sizes!? Yeah, this place is a gem. I wish this amazing woman owned business ALL the success! I’ll definitely be back and recommending to all my friends 💚💜💖🌱

2 years agoGreat food as far as health, price, and presentation, would be better if they added seasoning though. I tasted nothing unfortunately. I’ve tried many different vegan places across the US so I know they can add some kick to their dishes.

3 years agoI’m sitting here now and I am blown away. I got the Mac and cheese with bbq jackfruit and it is phenomenal! The tangy bbq sauce actually works SO well with the creamy cheese sauce. I’ve got my eyes on that cheesesteak as well… YEP! The cheesesteak is the bomb. (Just to be clear, I saved the second half of the mac. The portions are pretty big, and I am only human) The steak seems like seitan, but it is thinner sliced (like an Arby’s roast beef sandwich) It is either fried or cooked somehow to a wonderful texture and piled high with peppers and really good vegan white cheese shreds on a very good brioche roll. One of the best vegan steak sandwiches I’ve ever had. Definitely. The fries are very good, thicker cut steak fries. The oil they used is very clean. No seasoning on the fries besides maybe a little salt, but they don’t really need anything (other than ketchup) Good, available seating at tables, free wifi, friendly staff. I am so pumped to find such an amazing vegan restaurant in this part of Michigan.

3 years agoWorking out here for a few weeks, one of my colleagues is vegan and recommended this place. I was NOT disappointed! The food was DELICIOUS!😋 I enjoy exploring vegan options, and it was my first time eating jackfruit. It was also a bonus to support a Black-owned and woman-owned business! 👏🏾👏🏾 We loved the family atmosphere, and will definitely be back! I had the barbecue jackfruit sandwich and fries. There are at least three other dishes I want to try! Oh! And the cookies!!🥰😋 Who KNEW vegan and gluten-free could taste so good?!😮

3 years agoVisiting Detroit for the weekend. Used rhe Happy Cow app and found this place. Loved all the options on the menu. Very personable as I had many questions about the menu as I am gluten free. While the menu is not entirely gluten free there are many other options to choose from. It was fantastic to learn it is a family affair. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming because of this. The decor inside is nice and comforting. My lettuce wrap "beef" was freshly made so that it did not contain gluten (soy sauce is used). That right there was exceptional customer service. The food tasted really good and the hardest part was waiting until I got back to my hotel to eat. Next time we are in Detroit I will be coming back. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality!

3 years agoWe ate dine in, and the restaurant is super cute. The food is amazing. We had the Philly cheese steak, mac bowl with mushrooms, and loaded fries. Everything was amazing. The cheese was perfect, no veggie or nut flavor left lingering, just creamy cheese. We highly recommend Vegan Nova!
