Valentines at Vestige; On FB She said: "He wanted to plan for a special night out, and he certainly delivered! We had an extraordinary Japanese Southern infused dinner at Vestige in Ocean Springs. A tasting menu full of things I couldn’t have named beforehand but won’t soon forget. I mean, cherry wood smoked ora king salmon! A pallet cleansing amazake! Locally sourced ingredients like gulf shrimp, sunchoke, wild nettle, and pecans. Afterward, we went to a candlelight string quartet concert featuring love songs. It was intimate and fun and different enough from our normal rhythm to feel special without being over-the-top. He really does get me and I am ever grateful to be his Valentine!" Thanks Vestige!!
Came here for their Valentine’s weekend tasting. The dishes tasted amazing and were very beautiful to look at, especially the vessels they traveled on. The salmon was so tender and buttery, the truffle cream sauce was delicious, I tried not to lick the plate. Mochi Bread and butter was a comforting experience. The tartare was to die for. Each dish was explained in detail upon being served. I’d come back again and again.
From the innovative menu to the impeccable service, it was an unforgettable experience. An absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates culinary excellence at its finest. My husband and I had reservations that fell though because a different local restaurant hadn't updated their hours for the holidays. We tried our luck at Vestige where the chef and staff happily accepted us without a reservation. I was extremely grateful for their accomodations and they made my birthday dinner into a truly unique and incredibly delicious experience. Can't wait to come back and experience another menu, and next time we'll be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
