a month agoWe started off with a appetizer order of the fresh rolls which had 3 very nice thick puffy shrimp in each roll. Which came with peanut sauce and a very mild fish sauce, no trace of fish smell or not at all pungent like the traditional fish sauce. My friend ordered a traditional beef bowl of pho. I got the beef broth based Pho with chicken, lots of noodles and came with a side of fresh slices of lime bean sprouts, and jalapeno. (No fresh basil leaves though I was surprised by that) there was a little cilantro in the pho though. Which unfortunately happens in Asian Cuisine restaurants in more rural areas, the owners try to modify or step down some of the flavors to match picky / particular consumers who have never had real Asian Cuisine only very Americanized Chinese food. Not to sound overly critical though, there was both sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce available on every table, however very limited napkins, pho can be very messy and definitely needs more than just a few napkins at every table. Overall a good experience and good food, would definitely come here again and try more!

2 months agoThis restaurant has a great atmosphere, and it was quite busy when we got there. Despite that, our waitress did a good job on checking up on us and the food came out fairly quick. I got the pho deluxe, and it was delicious. Hands down one of the best restaurants downtown.

2 months agoI'd say this place is okay! The pho broth was underwhelming and chickeny considering i got steak, meatballs, and tripe. it was very clear and light which is good but i could tell it hadn't been cooked long and was lacking richness. but id say it was good for the price $13/$14 before tax. spring rolls with char ski and peanut sauce were really good! viet coffee was good but not worth the price. service: our waitress was very nice and always checking on us, but I will say our pho came out 3-5 minutes after we ordered and the spring rolls appetizer came out after the pho. our waitress would took some things off our table without asking if we were finished: like our pho toppings plate and my friend's coffee. The interior is very nice and i really liked the ambiance and decor! Overall, the place is OK, but I wouldn't come here again in comparison to the other Asian places nearby. For context, we came on a Friday around 12:30pm and got seated fairly quickly.

2 months agoThe food was really delicious! But the service?…. Our food came out one dish at a time (before a single drink hit our table). We felt like a bother each time we had to remind our server of something he forgot. (Drinks, complimenting sauces for pho, two side dishes) each time our server came to our table it felt we had literally 2 seconds to ask for something before he would scurry off. I try to be understanding if it’s busy but it’s simply not a good feeling to feel like you’re begging for a couple of napkins…. At the end of it all the tab came a drink we ordered but never received was on there and it felt like the only time our server was making MULTIPLE trips to check on us was after he wanted to pick up the folder… which, he didn’t bring out my exact change which basically cornered us into giving him a 20% tip which was heavily undeserved… I NEVER leave less than 18% but this service was on par with 10% service. The food is great but the service needs a bit of work with some of the servers. When something like that misses the mark unfortunately it leaves a bad taste in someone’s mouth for everything else.

2 months agoThis place is amazing! We got the pho, viet coffee, and sticky mango rice, and it was all SO AMAZING!! The pricing is very cheap, and the serving was amazing, Maddie was our server and she was the sweetest, I’ve been to a lot of pho places and I can say this was the best! The decoration inside the store was amazing aswell!

3 months agoThe best is sweet chili grill pork but the rice is too sweet and the soup has so much fat. Charsiu meat has some stink smell. ‘Bomb’ Mi is not good enough, the ingredients is ok but the bread is too cold. For calamari, you must avoid that.

3 months agoWe were really excited that this place opened up in downtown. We started off with an order of fresh spring rolls. They were small for the price and only had 2 shrimps per roll. We also ordered 2 bowls of pho. The broth was ok and there was a decent amount of meat and noodles. Would definitely recommend getting extra meat and noodles if you are really hungry. The service was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

3 months agoWait time could definitely use some work. Spring rolls were okay, they came for free today and were a nice touch. The server was nice. Nothing remarkable about the atmosphere. The restaurant has good potential and I’d love to come back on a less busy day, but there are some kinks that really need to be worked out.
