The service was very friendly, but a little slow to help us out even though I’m pretty sure we were her only table. The food for the most part was really well done. We went for breakfast and the menu wasn’t overwhelming which was a good thing for us. Good, Spicy Bloody Mary. My biggest complaint is how much grease was in the bottom of my Midwest bowl.
So Viva is going through a transition, when we were there the server said they were moving away from Mexican and towards a Farm to Table theme. The food had been amazing in the past, but this time it was not. Poor presentation of the food, food quality was okay but tacos were definitely not worth $13 more like $5. Service was good this time but it took them forever to get us our drinks from the bar. We also had Sangria and a top shelf margarita that was not worth the price. So I'm not sure our visit this time was so bed because Viva has an identity crisis but we will not be going there again.
We were staying at the hotel, and ate breakfast there at Viva. We were seated immediately and got our coffee, but they never refilled our cups so we had to do ourselves. Our food took over an hour to arrive. First we were offered free Mamosas, which we declined, still didn't get our food! Told the waitress we were going to complain to management (turns out there was none on site). Eventually got the meal comped. I can't blame the waitress, she was working her butt off! They were short staffed. We didn't return despite our 3 night stay. The food was good once we got it, but definitely not worth the trouble.
